The Campaign to Free 'Dean of Saudi Bloggers' Gaining Momentum

Arab News quotes an acquaintance of detained Saudi Arabian blogger Fouad Al-Farhan as saying: “He’s one of the few writing under his real name. His friends referred to him as ‘the dean of Saudi bloggers.’”

Fouad was arrested December 10, 2007. However,  the international campaign underway to force the Saudis to release him could result in him returning to his family within the next few days. See "Friend and fellow Saudi blogger petitions for al-Farhan's release."

I join bloggers from around the world in calling for Fouad's immediate release. To read the entire Arab News story, see "Blogger Does Not Face Security Charges: Ministry."
