Bloggers Given Their Own Lounge at CES 2008

The International Consumer Electronic Show 2008 (CES) that officially gets underway January 7, 200, in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, "has given bloggers their own lounge, separate from the traditional press room" reveals Dwight Silverman, who blogs for the Houston Chronicle's informative TechBlog.  "In fact," Silverman adds, "press who are also bloggers are not allowed in, though bloggers are being let into the press room. Even hybrid types like myself aren't allowed in if they have the orange press badge." "See CES Linkfest | 1.5.2008."

"And by the way," Silverman notes, "the name tags given to the press have RFID chips in them, which means that, in theory, our wanderings around the show could be tracked."

" Is that why the press bags handed out at registration included tin foil hats?" he asks.
