Firedoglake's Libby Trial Coverage Was Awesome

Firedoglake was the blog I turned to the most for authoritative and persistent coverage of the I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby  perjury and obstruction of justice trial stemming from  Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Grand Jury investigations into which Bush Administration official blew the cover of covert CIA operative Valerie Plame.

Libby was convicted March 6, 2007 on four of five felony charges against him. His legal team, headed by Ted Wells, intends to seek a new trial. If that doesn't work, an appeal will be filed.

So, Congratulations to Jane Hamsher and the Firedoglake crew. You were awesome.

I also commend the Media Bloggers Association (MBA) for its coverage and for obtaining credentials for MBA bloggers to cover the trial. Eighteen of its members were credentialed. Eight others contributed to the MBA's Libby trial feed.
