Malaysian Bloggers Jeff Ooi And Ahirudin bin Atan Sued
"Malaysian blogosphere is protesting the defamation proceding launched by the New Straits Times Press (NSTP) against two bloggers - Jeff Ooi who writes Screenshots and Ahirudin (bin) Atan who writes at Rocky’s Bru," according to the Global Voices Online blog. The sued bloggers have confirmed it in posts at their blogs. Ahirudin bin Atan calls this "Uncharted waters.

They dropped them on Tuesday evening [January 16, 2007], around 9.30 pm, at the National Press Club. They are applying for an injunction against Rocky's Bru, this blog. They are suing me for libel.

Harassing bloggers will not prevent the people from voicing their opposition to injustice and oilgarchic oppression. Malaysia is for the clutchful of especially priviledged OLIGARCHS & bureaucrats. Malaysia has a population of 28 million, how many of these millions share in the fruits of the nation ? You can tell who are the fat cats by the Mercedes that they drive and how many Mercedes are there ?
The riots are not merely from the Indians (praise them for their guts ) those from Parti Keadelant (you know alliance of DAP & Justice Parties ) The present leadership claims that Malaysia is a meritocracy but how does Malaysia compare with the meritocracy of Singapore ? You Malaysians are just WANNABE.
