Tech Blogger Robert Scoble Off To Meet John Edwards: Why?

Jessica Guynn at SF.Gate.com's Tech Chronicles blog reported December 27, 2006, that A-list tech blogger and podcaster Robert Scoble confirmed "that he's embarking on an out-of-state trip into the world of politics: He's been invited to help former Democratic VP candidate John Edwards [link added] announce his presidential bid in New Orleans tomorrow [December 28, 2006]. He flies out today," Guynn reported.

Scoble blogged about the Chronicle report shortly after it went up: "Yeah, the San Francisco Chronicle has the news on what I’m going to New Orleans for. I wouldn’t say I’m there to “help” Edwards, though. I’m there to bring you along. That might hurt him. You might not like him."

By the way, based on his history, one thing you will get from Scoble is full disclosure. If he runs into trouble with the Edwards folks it will probably be over that.
