The Amanda and Andrew Show

Like many bloggers and traditional media tech writers, I've been following the unfortunate public spat between Amanda Congdon and Andrew Baron over Rocketboom. I've watched Amanda deliver her webcasts and like them.

Well, Amanda is no longer at Rocketboom, whose daily newscast was quite popular. Here's her take on her departure. Here's what appears to be Rocketboom's official announcement.  Amanda has already gotten job offers and good advice.

Interestingly, many headlines writers seem to blame Amanda, who was the public face of Rocketboom, for the show's troubles. Based on what I've read in correspondence between the two, both have their share of blame for letting things reach the current state.

Finally,  I hope these two bright people had written agreements spelling out who would do what, when, where and how. I also hope they had compensation and ownership agreements. Both parties agree that Amanda owned 49 percent of the business and Andrew 51 percent. But the crucial question is: Does Amanda own her work?
