FEC Near Decision on Whether Political Blogs Should Register

"The Federal Elections Commission will decide Monday [March 27, 2006] whether political blogs like the conservative Free Republic or the liberal Daily Kos should fall under the McCain-Feingold Bill and should be forced to register with the FEC," The Paradise Post of Paradise, California, says in an editorial its March 23, 2006 issue.

The editors said, "We're wary of where the FEC is going with this, and we think this is an issue best attended to by Congress."
